This past Monday--as you may remember--was MY BIRTHDAY (Yeayyy!!!) and I celebrated by going to the FAB Hollywood & Highland TV Guide Studios and shooting my TV Guide 2012 Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap. And by the way, I can't think of a better way to celebrate my 22nd Birthday y'all! (Shut Up! No Comments!), especially with "My Gals":

A big ol' cupcake (OMG!! It was DELISHHHH!!), and after a "Happy Birthday Song", I made a wish, blew out the candles and done and done, as they say! Now, I know I always have to highlight what Miss Tabatha is wearing (fabulous Louboutin heels and McQueen! McQueen! McQueen!--bought, NOT borrowed huney!). I felt it was due time to highlight Camille's fashion look:

Nick TV Minute: Nick Verreos on NBC-LA News Discussing Grammys Fashions!

As you know, Sunday were the 54th Annual Grammy Awards so Monday, I was a busy boy. First I filmed my TV Guide 2012 Grammy Awards Fashion Wrap with host Ali Landry, Tabatha Coffey and Camille Grammer. After wrapping around 2PM--with enough time to grab a lunch--I then headed off to the NBC Studios in Burbank.

As the Fashion Spokesperson for my Alma Mater, the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising/FIDM, I have the pleasure of being invited to do my post-Award "Fashion Visit" with the NBC-LA crew, specifically, anchors Chuck Henry and Colleen Williams. A couple of weeks back, I was on to comment on the 2012 Golden Globes Red Carpet, so this time they invited me back to give my "Nick V. Red Carpet Two Cents" on the Grammys Fashion.

Along with anchor Colleen Williams, I talked about my Favorites and "Best Dressed" (Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Adele...), some of my "Could Have Been Better" (Robyn??) and we ended with Miss Nicki Minaj's Custom Atelier Versace Littel Red Riding Hood-Meets-Cardinal red satin cape ensemble. As always, I had a fun time commenting, describing the looks and why I liked them (or not) as well as giving some "Fashion Instructor" educating on Haute Couture and what that means, different menswear collars and designer info.

In the end, even Chuck Henry (above left) got into the conversation--commenting on my tie--saying "Nick, that's an interesting tie...". I think we may have a new Fashion Red Carpet expert on our hands!!!

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? D'Manti in Falguni and Shane Peacock

D'Manti: Well kids, again, I had to Wikipedia Miss D'Manti and so far I know that she's an American singer, born in Las Vegas and her music is "Dance/Pop". I kinda figured that out, just by her quirky dress on tonight's 2012 Grammy Awards red carpet. This is a dress by Falguni and Shane Peacock. They are based in London and Indian and have dressed Fergie and others. This dress looks like it came form their Fall/Winter 2011 Collection but it wasn't in their collection Look Book (yes, kids, I tried to do my research). The dress--which had red feathers, metallic beading, and a lot of other things going on, was too short and on the Hoochie side. But...this is actually tame compared to what she wore to the Latin Grammy Awards....

Mullet Robyn: Let's begin from head to toe--She's got TONGS on her ear, a white drop-shoulder oversized t-shirt that looks like she got from the Kmart Men's section, a not-so-flattering "high-low" skirt that is too tight (see the rippling and pulling across her thigh/abdomen) and then she finishes it all off with...

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Russian singer Sasha Gradiva and her Gun Arm Accessory!

Armed & Not-So Red Carpet Ready--Sasha Gradiva: As far as I can tell (from a quick web search), Miss Sasha Gradiva is not a contestant in "Ru Paul's Drag Race" but actually a woman who hails from Russia, is based in NYC and sings. Her music is "pop dance/electronica" according to Wikipedia. Now, let's get to what in St. Petersburg's name is she wearing??? The rose-pink organza strapless gown is actually quite nice other than the wonky fit at the bust area.

Now, I wonder if the designer of that frothy pink gown knew she would accessorize with a metal armature that featured lots and lots of guns! Imagine receive that news : "Ummm, So, (fill in the blank up-and-coming fashion designer), we have Good News and Bad News...Good News: Sasha IS wearing your gown at the Grammys! Bad News: she'll be accessorizing it with a bunch of guns! Have a Nice Day!".

Step Away from Your Model Girlfriend Adam!!!!

Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and his girlfriend Victoria's Secret model Anne V.: OK, first, Adam looks UNBELIEVABLY handsome!!! Best Dressed Male so far! From head to toe: perfection! He looks like he owns a villa outside of Rome and should be driving FIVE Ferrari's! I know, it isn't very "Grammy Awards" funky but I think that's why I like it: in this three piece suit, tie, pocket square look he so FAR above all the Grammy tackiness--is "Elite Grammy"! But...now speaking of Tacky and well, the opposite of Adam: his girlfriend!!!

Here's My Thigh Kids: WHAT. Is. She. Wearing?? This is like about as FAR AWAY from Classy Adam as you can get. Did they not coordinate their looks the night before...or this morning? Please tell me they have different stylists because I cannot comprehend how one stylist could have styled such disparate looks. And need I add, SHE'S A Victoria's Secret SUPERMODEL!! Models Always look FAB!

At first glance, it looks as if the side of this black jersey dress is caught within her thigh and leg--while she was posing...but in closer inspection, this dress might be designed in a way that it's a pant/dress combination--with one "leg" that then swoops through her crotch to give this "look". Here's the thing: IT'S Soooo WRONG! Please tell me you guys agree! Or at least enlighten me into what really is happening with that ensemble. PLEASE!

And Anne V. : Please call me next time, I have fabulous and tastefully sexy cocktail dresses for you to wear!

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Jessie J in Julien Macdonald

Jessie J in Julien Macdonald: I have to say that she's very Robo-Cop Meets Disco Ball in this gown, which features a silver "Mermaid Lite" shape, bustier cups at the torso, bias-cut through the upper skirt section, and wide shoulder straps.It's a great dress--especially for an occasion like the Grammy Awards-- I'm just not sure about the straps being so wide. I'm wondering if it because the dress is so HEAVY! She commented about the weight on the red carpet and it does look a bit cumbersome in the photos. Do we like Miss "Disco Ball Jessie J"? Let me know...

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Carrie Underwood in Gomez-Gracia

Carrie Underwood in Gomez-Gracia: In case anyone is wondering, Gomez-Gracia a British contemporary clothing brand with designer Patricia Gomez-Gracia at its helm. She's originally from Spain and earned her design chops with Alexander McQueen and Julien Macdonald while working in London, where her brand is now based.

What I love about Carrie Underwood is she is willing to take chances on new--or lesser known--designers (like lil 'ol me!) and with this dress by Gomez-Gracia. As seen from the dress she wore of mine--we know Miss Carrie loves sleeves!

And this white and silver sequined stunner has 'em! Long ones--plus a sexy open back with attached bra-line strap. I think she looks great! Now, the other great thing is that it looks like you can buy it now HERE and on SALE!

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Nicki Minaj in Custom Atelier Versace

Nicki Minaj (and a Bishop/Pope Impersonator) in Custom Atelier Versace: Well, well, well, the "Lady Gaga Entrance In An Egg" Award for 2012 goes to....Miss Nicki Minaj!!!

She donned a carmine red silk satin hooded coat with the Versace "Sun God" insignia in hand-beaded Swarovski crystals right in the center front. It's Little Red Riding Hood COUTURE darlings!!! Not sure what the Bishop/Pope next to her is supposed to mean...but maybe she just couldn't find a date so she went to the nearest Catholic Church and a Bishop was available...for the night?

I do feel like this will be part of a performance and there is something much more under that coat. Leave it to Miss Nicki, is all I have to say. I'll leave this one up to YOU GUYS!! Please Fill In The Blank: Nicki Minaj is going to ________.

Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2011

Taylor Swift in Zuhair Murad Fall/Winter Haute Couture 2011: LOVE LOVE LOVE this gown! So far one of my favorite looks of the night! The gown is from Lebanese designer Zuhair Murad and from his Haute Couture collection from last season. It's gold applique and embroidery over iridescent silk organza and features mini cap sleeves and a Mandarin-style collar: so elegant, Grecian Goddess GORGEOUS! Also, are my eyes deceiving me or does it look like the shoulders were "brought in" slightly for Taylor? On the model, the shoulder width appears wider (sorry, my "designer-talk"!).

It's A LOT of gown for the Grammys and one might argue--more Academy Awards or Cannes Film Festival-appropriate, but...well the Grammys ARE the "Acedemy Awards" for music, so why not?? She said she saw this gown months ago, but was saving it for a big night like the Grammys. Good for you huney--a good rule of thumb is not to waste a $100,000+ gown! What do y'all think??? Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Rihanna in Custom Giorgio Armani

Rihanna in Custom Giorgio Armani: Again, another "Custom Giorgio Armani"--but in completely different direction than what I last commented on in my Adele post. With Adele, he went "Retro Vintage 60's Demure", but with Rihanna, it's Halston-Meets-Studio 54 Sex! I guess, depending on the Star, Armani and his team will create anything for you!

When asked about the gown--which was a black plunging neckline halter style with a deep back and center-front slit--Rihanna said that she helped Armani design this and that it was a "collaboration". Let me get this right, Rihanna HELPED Armani design? Didn't know Mr. Armani needed help in that department...but regardless who did what, it was very sexy, simple and Farah Fawcett HOT--even her hairstyle vibed 70's chic. What did you guys think? Grammy Awards 2012: Who Wore What? Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012

Fergie in Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012: This might come as a shock to some of my readers here, but...I think Fergie looks FAB!!!! This is a difficult gown to pull off and I'm sure this look might have its detractors (I can just hear the "Oh she looks like a Lace Orange Oompa Loompa!!") But I disagree!

This orange lace applique gown is from the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture Spring/Summer 2012 collection--which was JUST shown two weeks ago in Paris. It was his "Homage to Amy Winehouse". I loved that she wore the gown--including the undergarments--exactly as it was shown on the runway. I also think her make-up and hair looked modern and quite beautiful. Go on Miss Fergie!

What do you guys think? Am I crazy or do you agree that she looks quite Fergie Fab? Let me know...
